FDC presidential candidate Kizza Besigye arrested - He has been released from CPS

FDC spokesperson Semujju Nganda confirms Kizza Besigye's arrest, says the FDC flag bearer has been taken to Kampala Central Police Station (CPS). Situation remains tense.

 Police fires teargas along Jinja Road to disperse Besigye supporters as the presidential candidate makes his way to Nasser. A defiant Kizza Besigye has resolved to walk to Nasser Road, saying Ugandans must have a right to assemble.

 FDC Supporters singing and doing whatever they think is going to make the police release their Candidate, who was arrested earlier today.

 Shop keepers and attendants have been ordered to close business until this rising tention calms down

 Police has been deployed along Arua Park and the near by roads, they stand guard and ready to disperse and uprising that may come up as tension is escalating.

After what seemed like hours, Dr. Kizza Besigye has been released and escorted back to his home in Kasangati.
